International Women’s Day is a great opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the achievements and exceptional contributions of women in all spheres of life. At G2A, we turn it into an entire month filled with valuable meetings and inspiration.
This year, we once again celebrated Women’s Month as part of the G2A Well-being Gateway✨ and G2A for DEI programs. We invited everyone at G2A to participate – including the guys. This period was rich with meetings featuring experts from various fields. Each of them shared their experiences and reflections on the role of women in life, business, and society. It was an inspiring and motivating experience.
We kicked off the series of online meetings with a burst of positive energy from a talk by Mona Kinal, our charismatic Chief Marketing Officer. Mona passionately spoke about her remarkable international career, what gives her the strength to act, and how she balances high-paced work with family life. She emphasized the importance of believing in oneself, never giving up, pursuing one’s goals, and not fearing change. It was a meeting that sparked enthusiasm and gave us wings.
Next, Joanna Król-Kielar, our Brand Manager, greatly inspired us by showing how big brands can support various women’s initiatives. She talked about the most interesting and best campaigns supporting women and areas where brands stand by their side. She also shared her experiences in brand marketing, revealing the secrets of creating valuable and unforgettable campaigns.
Another highlight was the meeting with Agnieszka Sikorska from Diversity +, an expert in diversity management, who supports us in developing an organizational culture based on DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) values. Agnieszka told us how important it is to talk about our needs at work to improve the quality and effectiveness of collaboration. The topic of neurodiversity and its relationship with work comfort sparked the most interest. Agnieszka shared the challenges related to neurodiversity in the workplace, using ADHD as an example.
Women’s Month was extremely valuable for us and received very high marks in the satisfaction survey (5.7/6 points). We are especially pleased that nearly half of the participants were guys from G2A. The series of meetings provided us with a lot of inspiration and motivation for both professional and personal development. It offered diverse perspectives on the role of women in life, business, and society. It enabled the exchange of experiences and increased our awareness of important issues related to equal opportunities and diversity. It prompted reflection and encouraged action towards gender equality. It also provided practical tips on how to effectively manage and communicate our needs in the workplace. Moreover, it made us realize that workplace challenges can easily be turned into superpowers if we approach our differences as potential strengths.
