G2A is where we’ve been involved in various charities for years now, also during holiday seasons. Things couldn’t have been different this year. The only challenge? Choosing the folks we wanted to help out this time around.
Christmas is a wonderful time of the year which connects the people willing to help with those who are in need. Usually, there’s more of the latter and the decision which people, organizations or initiatives you want to support is not the easiest one. In situations like these we resort to our good practices, based on G2A’s organizational culture.
#together
G2A is where we foster the tradition of acting together, consulting each other when making important decisions, and mutual feedback. We believe that it’s the basis of good relations within the company. We ask for opinions, respect various points of view and take these into account in our every-day operations. It’s important for us to decide about and shape the reality we co-create together. Also important is what we give to others.
When making mutual decisions, we often use surveys which we send to all G2Anians to get to know what they think about a particular subject. This was the case with choosing holiday charities to support. We’ve all received a link which we could use to choose a person, organization, or an initiative that we would like to support this time. The results were as follows: we decided that this year we will help lonely elderly people. 👐
Our volunteers
We’ve also asked if there are folks who wish to get personally involved in the charity project. 21 G2Anians volunteered to help. ❤️ The group reviewed the possibilities of working with various organizations which help the elderly, contacted these institutions and organized two fund-raisers. Together, we supported the following initiatives: “Gift a Christmas Eve,” organized by the Little Brothers of the Poor Association, and “Suspended dinners,” coordinated by the Spółdzielczy Pub in Rzeszow and Tomasz Friendlander.
Christmas charity
G2A’s board also got involved in supporting Christmas charities, doubling the amount we raised. Thanks to this we were able to sponsor 239 dinners for the elderly, supporting the “Suspended dinners” initiative.✨ Likewise, the Little Brothers f the Poor Association was able to organize Christmas Eve meetings for 35 seniors, complete with a dinner, gifts, music and safe transportation. These wonderful holiday meetings were full of touching moments and warmth. We’re so happy we were able to help! ❤️
