SCP are not only one of the premier football teams in Portugal but in Europe too, regularly appearing in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. The club is famous around the world for being the platform for the careers of Portuguese legends Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Having signed a FIFA player, Francisco “Quinzas” Cruz, to represent them, SCP are heading boldly into the eSports arena. The club will play host to an upcoming eSports tournament called G2A Lion Games – which will allow FIFA players an opportunity to play for the club, and to develop their relationship with G2A to new levels.
eSports have taken off in a big way among European football teams this year, with Manchester City, Wolsfburg and West Ham United all having signed FIFA eSports professionals to represent their clubs at official FIFA tournaments.
Working with over 70 teams and at over 100 events, G2A are currently one of the top eSports brand builders in the world and have over the years, demonstrated their dedication and passion for the industry by investing over $10 million in the industry. G2A made an appearance on the BBC documentary “The Supergamers”, further cementing their leadership in eSports.
