As the world’s fastest-growing digital gaming marketplace, G2A commits to contribute in cash and kind to community initiatives. G2A’s recent co-operation with MSI and Gaming for Good charity gave a unique opportunity for gaming enthusiasts to support Save the Children. MSI prepared a special item for the charity auction hosted on the Gaming for Good website: the community-voted #1, a custom-made PC and casemod promoting “Batman v Superman” (Batmobile2k16 by Babetech Custom PC, 1:7 scale).
With over 105 donors and a ‘highest bid’ of $2500, another great charity event ended happily with $4,704.90 donated to Save the Children, an international non-governmental organization that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries. The Gaming for Good online platform raises money for charitable organizations.
During 2014-2015, the G2A community raised over $500 000 for ‘Save the Children’. US Aid amplified this to $5 million for Save The Children.
One of G2A’s many contributions to the charity includes a specifically developed payment ecosystem – winner of ‘Outstanding New Product/ Service’ – G2A Pay. Commenting on the recent win Global Excellence Award in the Outstanding New Product/Service category, the chairman of the judges said, in part: “Digital gaming marketplace G2A.COM, with 10 million clients worldwide, has experienced incredible success and growth.”
Dawid Rozek, co-founder and CMO of G2A, added: “G2A Pay has been implemented on the Gaming for Good website because G2A Pay gives gamers around the world a variety of methods to donate to these good causes.” G2A, using the G2A Pay innovation, recently enabled Gaming for Good and gamers to collectively contribute $390 000 to help combat the drought in Ethiopia for a Save the Children led project.
“It always makes me happy to see the gaming community giving back to others. We are constantly looking to find the best methods to engage our communities and to develop our Gaming for Good projects,” said Reese Leysen of Gaming for Good.
Dawid said: “Great thanks to all who contributed!”
