“You lose when you overpay” emphasizes awesome deals for gamers on G2A.COM and the new physical product category which includes gaming hardware, merchandise and gadgets.
Launched in August 2019 and jampacked with in-jokes and gaming references, the commercial has been well received by the gaming community and has garnered millions of views since its launch. “Change Serviceplan, the agency behind this project, has done a phenomenal job,” says Marek Magoń, Head of Brand and Marketing Communication at G2A. “Gamers loved it and we’re glad the Golden Drum jury loved it too,” he adds.
“It’s been incredibly fun to work on this campaign,” says Dominik Przerwa, member of Change Serviceplan’s Creative Department. “We simply geeked out and made something really, really special. Now our work has been recognized by the industry’s top professionals,” he adds.
Held annually since 1993 in Portorož, Slovenia, the Golden Drum Festival is regarded as the most important event in the world of advertising alongside the one in Cannes. This year’s edition saw 62 Silver Drum, 37 Golden Drum and 9 Grand Prix awards presented to the best works of 2019. Their roster includes G2A’s “You lose when you overpay” campaign, as well as projects of companies such as Diesel, IKEA, BNP Paribas, Mastercard, Huawei and McDonald’s.
