In this year’s annual Cross-Border Commerce analysis of the 100 best global cross-border platforms operating in Europe, G2A.COM placed 8th, among other giants such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Vinted, Farfetch and more.
The “Analysis of TOP 100 marketplaces operating in Europe” report is a collection of cross-border data based on four parameters: cross-border online sale in 28 European countries, including the UK; SEO indicators for cross-border performance; a cross-border score determined on the number of covered countries, and the number and percentage of cross-border visits.
In addition to these criteria, parameters such as marketplaces’ business models, brand strategies, AI & Big Data marketplace strategies, and services offered to the marketplaces’ customers were also taken into account.
G2A.COM’s standing was strong in all categories, including C2C marketplaces (2nd place), B2C marketplaces (4th place) and the so-called “100 % pure” marketplaces (7th place). The report outlined that the company’s site has over 20 million customers, 10 million monthly visitors, 400,000 sellers from 200 countries, 75,000 digital products in addition to numerous physical goods, and 600 employees across all locations.
Bartosz Skwarczek, CEO and co-founder of G2A.COM, said: “I am delighted and proud to share such great news. This is a significant recognition for us, bearing in mind the progress that we have made as a company since 2010. It is a privilege to sit alongside some major legacy marketplaces, and a great motivation to continue our hard work.”

The report shed light on the strength of the European market when it comes to marketplaces, with G2A.COM and its peers contributing to a 17% increase in global market share since 2018. The total cross-border e-commerce market in Europe is now worth €143 billion (excluding the travel industry), of which €84 billion, or 59%, is generated by marketplaces. This is expected to rise to 65% by 2025.
G2A.COM is the world’s largest digital marketplace for gamers, making game trading simpler, safer and more affordable for all. Founded in 2010, the company soon launched what is now a one-stop platform for over 20 million gamers and geeks.
